If you’re an adult and need outpatient chemotherapy, blood transfusions or medication infusion therapy, the Ambulatory Treatment Center (ATC) at Athens Regional Medical Center is here for you.
Our skilled nurses offer you compassionate care and exceptional training as they work with your physician and our pharmacists to provide you treatment in the safety of a hospital setting. We have certification from the Oncology Nurses Society of Chemotherapy and our nurses receive continuous education to maintain their skills.
What to Expect During Treatment
During your treatment, you'll have a private room with either a bed or a recliner. From our nurses to our patient care technicians, we pride ourselves in providing quality care.
As a patient of the Ambulatory Treatment Center, you'll also have access to Athens Regional Health System support services. The Loran Smith Center for Cancer Support, Social Work Services, Chaplain, and alternative therapies give guidance and comfort to patients and families.
The Ambulatory Treatment Center is at Athens Regional Medical Center on the second floor of Prince Tower I.
