Diabetes Education Services

Whether you’ve had diabetes for years or are newly diagnosed, we have a team at Athens Regional ready to help guide you and your family. Our Diabetes Education Services Department offers you a nationally recognized and certified diabetes management education program.

Recognized by the American Diabetes Association, our team offers a multidisciplinary approach to diabetes care. Our staff includes registered nurses and dietitians who work together to create unique care plans focused on each patient's needs.

Diabetes Education Programs and Support

As part of our commitment to helping you reach and maintain health, we offer classes and community programs.

Some classes focus on meal planning, weight loss, stress management and smoking cessation. Our programs are for anyone facing diabetes, pre-diabetes, pregnancy diabetes or seeking a healthier lifestyle. Family members are invited.
