Search for a jobIs there anything I should know before applying?

The new application system requires you to register. Your username is your email address. You will enter a password and some basic contact information. Please make note of your password as we do not have the ability to look up or to change passwords. Once you’ve registered, you’ll be directed to your candidate page where you can view openings, update your profile and apply for new positions.

Do I need an email address to apply?

Athens Regional requires a valid, personal email address for the purpose of employment. Do not use an email address that you share with other people. This email address will be used to confirm your application, to arrange interviews and for hiring purposes. If you do not have an email address, there are sites where you can create one for free. Some examples include: 

How many positions can I apply for?

Our Human Resources policy states you can have two active applications.

How do I check the status of my application?

Emails regarding the status of your application will be sent to the email address you used when creating your application. You will also be able to view the status of your application when you log in to your profile.

How do I change my information?

  • Go to our career site.
  • Log in using your user name and password.
  • Click "My Profle" or "My Application" and make changes. Save.

My "status" shows my application is being reviewed by HR. How long will it take before I hear something?

HR reviews all applications. Top candidates are sent to the department. The department selects which candidates they want to interview. Candidates are notified by HR if they are selected for an interview. This may take weeks depending when the department makes their selection. Once an applicant has been offered a position, other candidates are notified through Status Check that the position is no longer available.

My computer said your site is not secure. What should I do?

Our site is secure. The security warning you see is a way for you to determine if our site meets your criteria for security. Because you are sending us confidential and private information, we ask that you read our safety certifications to determine if they satisfy your requirements.

I don't have a computer at home. How can I apply?

You can apply from any computer with Internet access. Computers are available in our Human Resources lobby from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday. They are also available at the Department of Labor and at the library.

I've applied for several positions but never had an interview. Why?

Competition is fierce. Athens Regional receives hundreds of applications for every entry-level position. In the first year of our electronic application system, we received more than 50,000 applications.

We encourage applicants to:

  • Complete the application in its entirety.
  • Make sure your information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Make sure you are qualified for the job you are applying for.
  • Be sure you are able to work the hours required for the position.

How do I attach a resume?

You may attach a resume when registering for our site. Click "Browse" beside resume and select the document you wish to attach.
