In Their Shoes is a 13.1-mile, one-day walk honoring those who've experienced cancer. All proceeds from the walk remain local, benefiting the free services for all cancer patients and their caregivers at the Loran Smith Center for Cancer Support.

History of In Their Shoes

The walk was started by Anne Hansen and Gaylene Ward, close friends who were diagnosed with breast cancer within months of each other. After they completed treatment, they founded the walk to give back to the loving cancer community and the Loran Smith Center.
