Paying Your Bill
There are several ways to find out more about your account and pay your bill to Athens Regional Medical Center.
To pay your hospital bill online, use our Online Bill Payment form. (This form is only for hospital bills.)
If you'd like to speak to someone in person or over the phone, contact our Cashier Windows, Business Office or financial counselors.
Our Cashier Windows are located in Talmadge Tower I in booths five and six of the registration area. They are open to help you from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Cashier Window at the Discharge Desk in the Emergency Department is open around the clock.
At either Cashier Window you can inquire about your hospital account, make payments and/or arrangements on your account. Payments can be made by cash, check, money order or major credit card (Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover). Payments made at the Cashier Window will be posted on the following day.

ARMC's financial counselors are available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Weekend Financial Counseling is also available.
During normal business hours, a financial counselor can be located in the Talmadge Tower Registration area, Emergency Room Registration, Endoscopy, Midwifery, Outpatient Surgery and Patient Access in Prince Tower.
Financial Counselors at ARMC assist patients with questions on how to handle their financial obligation for services rendered. Patients with insurance are expected to pay co-pays and deductibles upon registration and may be visited in their room by a financial counselor. Patients who are unable to pay their co-pays and/or deductibles are encouraged to speak with a financial counselor to make payment arrangements. Financial counselors will also assist patients with no insurance coverage by completing the appropriate assistance applications to determine eligibility.
All financial assistance applications will be forwarded to Patient Business Services for proper processing. When a determination of eligibility has been made, the patient will be notified via the US Postal Service.
A Notary Public is also available to notarize legal forms, free of charge, for patients who are admitted to our facility.

After you are discharged, all questions concerning your account should be directed to the Business Office, which is located in the Regional Health Services Building at the corner of Pine Needle and Talmadge. The Business Office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and can be reached by phone at 706-475-3520 or 1-800-768-7425.
