The 1919 to Host 2nd Annual Mint Jubilee
The 1919, the young professionals committee of the Athens Regional Foundation, will host its 2nd Annual Mint Jubilee on Saturday, May 3 to benefit our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Stroke Risk Reduced by New Procedure Offered at Athens Regional Medical Center
In September 2013, the cardiology team at Athens Regional Medical Center became the first group in Northeast Georgia to perform the new Lariat® procedure, which dramatically reduces the risk of stroke caused by the heart condition atrial fibrillation.

Athens Regional Medical Center Generates More Than $798 million to Athens’ Economy
Athens Regional Medical Center generated close to $800 million in revenue in 2011 for the local economy according to a recent report by the Georgia Hospital Association. The report also found that Athens Regional provided approximately $29 million in uncompensated care while sustaining more than 6,070 full-time jobs throughout Athens and the rest of the state.
