7 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.
Piedmont Athens Regional
Medical Services Building, Third Floor

Agenda

According to the American Heart Association, cardiovascular disease is the leading global cause of death, accounting for more than 17.3 million deaths per year, a number that is expected to grow to more than 23.6 million by 2030. About 2,200 Americans die each day from heart disease, stroke, and other cardiovascular disease. Cardiovascular disease claims more lives than all forms of cancer combined and accounts for 1 in 7 deaths in the U.S.

Join us to learn about the most current developments in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of cardiovascular disease. Interactive sessions will include discussion of current guidelines, practice patterns, and solutions in cardiovascular medicine.

Topics for this year’s conference will be based on the educational needs identified on our annual needs assessment which includes a survey of past conference participants, epidemiological data, quality improvement data, and other sources of information.

The conference format will include didactic lectures, case studies, and questions and answer sessions and will feature speakers selected for their expertise in the topics being presented.
