I am a wife and a mother of two young children. I’m also happy to be active in my church and community. My interest in infectious diseases was sparked by working with my father, a family physician, during childhood years growing up in Maracaibo, Venezuela. I am fluent in Spanish which has been a great asset in practicing medicine in Georgia, North Carolina and New York. My family and I continue to be interested in international medicine and has been a part of a number of medical service trips. I am an assistant professor of pediatrics for the medical partnership here in Athens. I attended the University of Georgia for her undergraduate studies, graduating Magna Cum Laude. It is a great pleasure to work for my two alma maters.
