Dr. Lester is a Spanish-language proficient family physician in part-time practice and wife and mother of two. She chose to return to her family's southern roots after being raised in the Northeast, educated in Northern California and traveling extensively in Latin America.
Dr. Lester's primary interests are in serving stigmatized and marginalized underserved communities with a particular interest in Spanish-speaking immigrant communities and Women’s Health. She teaches medical students and hopefully will teach residents in the future about how to become highly skilled compassionate family physicians bringing care to impoverished areas of the southeast. She also serves as the Family Medicine Interest Group advisor.
In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her family, learning new tricks on the flying trapeze, running with her dogs and reading crime novels.
