Athens Regional Healing Garden
Have you visited our Garden? It is here for you to find comfort and peace.
The Meditation Garden, next to the Loran Smith Center for Cancer Support, the Griffin-DuBose Healing Lodge and The Guest House, will serve as an extension of Athens Regional's Healing Garden to expand therapeutic programming currently available for patients with cancer and other illnesses.
A labyrinth was purchased and installed in October with memorial funds in recognition of Stuart Hopkins and Roger Nagy. The labyrinth is an example of how the Healing Garden is a sacred space to encourage healing through loss and grief.
Future projects of the Healing Garden include a gazebo, water feature, handicapped accessible paths, and bridges and benches.
