Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement

Team of TAVR Experts

We have an entire team of heart experts -- including physicians, nurses and specialists -- to care for your aortic valve issues. In fact, we are the only hospital in our region performing Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR).

About TAVR

Aortic Stenosis prevents the aortic valve from opening fully, reducing blood flow from the heart. Balloon Aortic Valvuloplasty will stretch the opening temporarily (6-12 months), while Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) or Surgical Aortic Valve Replacement (SAVR) corrects the problem definitively.

Facts about TAVR:

  • Minimally invasive procedure
  • Considered for patients declared inoperable for traditional open-heart surgery and/or high risk
