Volunteers make the difference at Athens Regional. Our volunteers range from teenagers to senior citizens and are students, homemakers and retirees, as well as those who have full- or part-time jobs. But they all have one thing in common: They enjoy helping others!

Our volunteers provide valuable service to more than 50 departments throughout the year. Nursing areas with volunteers include the Ambulatory Treatment Center, Breast Health Center, Cardiac Vascular Center, Diabetes Education, Endoscopy, Emergency Department, Labor and Delivery, Medical Specialties, Midwifery, Mother-Baby Unit, Outpatient Surgery Center, Pediatrics, Pre-Admission Testing, Pre-Op Short Stay, Orthopedics, Oncology and Surgical/Urology.
