Wound Center Services

Athens Regional Wound Center services include assessment, diagnostic evaluation and treatment of wounds. Our staff is available to evaluate any type of wound. The most commonly treated wounds are:

  • Diabetic ulcers
  • Stasis ulcers
  • Pressure ulcers (bed sores)
  • Wounds resistant to healing
  • Wounds caused by poor circulation, trauma or surgery

If needed, we will coordinate your treatment with the expertise of plastic surgeons, general surgeons, vascular surgeons, dermatologists, orthopedists or other specialists. Referrals can be made by your physician, health care provider or by self-referral.
