Your Stay With Us

Your Room

Your room assignment at Athens Regional Medical Center is based upon your admitting diagnosis and the bed availability on the day of your admission. All patients receive private room accommodations and meals are prepared according to doctor's orders.

Valuables and Personal Items

A few personal items are needed while you are in the hospital, such as pajamas, a robe, slippers and toiletries. Electric appliances such as radios, TVs, coffee pots, hotplates, electric blankets or heating pads are not allowed. You may use electric curlers, hair dryers or razors with the approval of the nursing staff.

Because we cannot be responsible for personal articles left in your room, we urge you to leave valuables at home or with a family member. If you are unable to make arrangements for your valuables, Security can deposit small items such as wallets, checkbooks and jewelry in their safe until you are discharged. Contact the nursing staff for assistance.
